Harris Georgiades, Minister of Finance, Republic of Cyprus

Harris Georgiades is the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Cyprus since 2013. Previously, he served briefly as Minister of Labour and Social Insurance (1st March-3rd April 2013). He had the leading role in the implementation and successful conclusion of the reform and consolidation program for the Cyprus economy. He participates in the Eurogroup and the ECOFIN. He was elected Chairman of the Board of Governors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the period 2014-2015 and is a member of the Board of Governors of the International Monetary Fund, the European Investment Bank and the European Stability Mechanism. He was selected by POLITICO as one of the 28 most-influential Europeans for 2016. He participates in the New Leaders for Europe community of the World Economic Forum. Prior to his appointment as Minister he was a Member of the House of Representatives with the Democratic Rally Party (2011-2013). He also served as Press Spokesman and as member of the Executive of the Democratic Rally.



Christodoulos E. Angastiniotis, Chairman, Invest Cyprus

Christodoulos E. Angastiniotis is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of CIPA and the Chief Executive Officer of VitaTrace Nutrition Ltd Group. He also serves as Vice President of The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (2011-2018). Formerly he served as President of Lefkosia Tourism Development & Promotion Company (2008-2014), President of The Veterinary Pharmaceutical Importers Association (2008-2013), President of The Nicosia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (2005-2011) and President of the Cyprus-Egypt Business Association. In addition to being the Chairman of the Board of CIPA he is actively involved in many international business and cultural Associations. He has also served as member of the Board of Directors of the Human Resource Development Authority, the Cyprus Prisons, and the Institute of Technology. He participated in many economic financial and business promotion seminars abroad where he presented a number of papers on the role of Cyprus as a Regional Financial and Commercial Center. Christodoulos E. Angastiniotis studied in the U.K. and holds a post graduate degree MSc in Management Sciences from the University of Cranfield.



Johny, Abuaitah, Chief Executive Officer, Windsor Brokers Ltd

Johny Abuaitah holds a BSc. in Accounting and Computing from Leicester University and a MSc. Degree in Business Systems Analysis from City University in the UK. Together with his father, Nicolas Abuaitah, they established Windsor in 1988. Pantelis Leptos, Chairman, The Cyprus Land and Building Developers Association (LBDA)

Pantelis M. Leptos was born in Athens, Greece on 23/10/1964. He holds a BSC in Civil Engineering, and a Master of Science in International Finance, Trade and Shipping. He is a director of The Leptos Group of Companies, one of the largest and most successful private Groups in Cyprus and Greece and is the Deputy President and Member of the Board of Directors of the Public Company “Leptos Calypso Hotels Ltd”. Furthermore he is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Land and Building Developers Association. He is Past President of The Paphos Hotel Owners Association and the ex-Board Treasurer of the Cyprus Hotel Owners Association. He is also the Past President and Honorary President of FIABCI Cyprus. He is a Member of the Cyprus Technical Chamber (ETEK) and is also the Honorary Consul for Jamaica in Cyprus. He currently serves as member of the Board of many other Social and Professional bodies.





Dr. George Pamboridis, Minister of Health, Republic of Cyprus

Dr George Pamboridis studied Law in Athens. Continuing his studies at the University of Southampton, he acquired a Master’s degree (LL.M.) in Shipping Law. Following, he acquired a master’s degree (M.Sc.) from the Department of International Relations of the London School of Economics (LSE) and then, a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Law from the University of Southampton in Public International and Shipping Law. He is the author of the book “International Shipping Law: Legislation and Enforcement”, published by Kluwer Law International and the book “Hydrocarbons of the Republic of Cyprus”, released in September 2012, as well as numerous legal articles. Dr Pamboridis is qualified in Cyprus (Member of the Cyprus Bar Association), Greece (Member of the Athens Bar Association) and England & Wales (Roll of Solicitors). After working at the law office of Tassos Papadopoulos & Co, he worked at the City law firm Holman, Fenwick & Willan in the UK and then, he joined L. Papaphilippou & Co law office, in Nicosia, as a Partner, for five years. Since 2003, he started up Pamboridis LLC with offices in Nicosia and Athens. Dr Pamboridis is a corporate lawyer, dealing mostly with matters related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate law and international tax planning, but also Energy law. His extensive shipping background ranks him as one of the leading lawyers in matters of International Shipping Regulation. He also taught International Shipping Law and Energy Law at the University of Cyprus.



Dr. Kirill Zimarin CEO, RCB Bank Ltd / President, Association of International Banks in Cyprus

Dr. Kirill Zimarin is currently the CEO of RCB Bank Ltd and the President of the Association of International Banks in Cyprus. He was born in 1971 and he graduated with honors from the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University obtaining a degree in Economics of Foreign Countries and International Relations. In 1996, he obtained a PhD in Economics from the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University and in 2015, a doctorate in Economics from the same university. In 2005, he joined RCB Bank Ltd and he is currently a member of its Board of directors and the Bank’s Chief Executive Officer. In 2008 he was elected President of the Association of International Banks in Cyprus, a position he holds until today. In 2011, he became a member of the International Affairs Steering Group of the European Banking Federation (EBF). In 2016, Dr. Zimarin has been appointed a member of the “International Presidential Business Advisory Council” that plays an important role in forming business policy in Cyprus.




Pantelis Christofides, Partner, L Papaphilippou & Co LLC

Pantelis Christofides (LLB)(First Class Hons)(Leicester), (LLM)(EU Law)(Cambridge)(Fitzwilliam College), (Professional Diploma in Legal Practice) (Distinction)(Nottingham Law School), ACIArb, is currently Partner at L Papaphilippou & Co LLC and an Advocate, member of the Cyprus Bar Association and the Nicosia Bar Association. His main areas of practice are EU law, protection of competition law, concentration control law, international private and public law, Anti – Money Laundering, human rights law, and data protection law. Pantelis has represented clients before the competent authorities of the Republic of Cyprus, including District Courts, the Supreme Court of Cyprus, the Commission for the Protection of Competition of the Republic of Cyprus (CPC), handling notifications of concentrations in relation to both domestic and international clients, including NYSE listed companies, as well as being a defence team member in relation to alleged concerted practice proceedings, and the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection, assisting in the preparation and filing of notifications before the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection and acting in relation to complaint proceedings before the said Office. Evgenios Evgeniou, CEO, PwC Cyprus

Evgenios is the CEO and Senior Partner of PwC Cyprus.  He is also a member of the EMEA Leadership Team of PwC. He started his career with PwC in 1990 and was admitted to partnership in 2001. He has worked with PwC in London and on secondment in Athens and Moscow. Prior to assuming his CEO responsibility, he was a member of the firm’s Executive Board, the Banking and Capital Markets Services leader and the HC leader. He was also a member of the management team for the Assurance practice of PwC in continental Europe. Evgenios is the President of the Cyprus-Russia Business Association and a Vice President of the Board of the Nicosia Chamber of Commerce. Evgenios graduated from Imperial College London and he is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He has attended leadership development programs of PwC and at INSEAD.





George Pananastasiou, CEO, VTT Vasiliko Ltd, Cyprus

George Papanastasiou worked  25 years for BP in Cyprus,  United Kingdom,  and other countries,  having held various managerial positions within the company including  the position of the Head of Country in Cyprus. He is a mechanical engineer  by profession  with a HND in Mechanical Engineering from the Higher Technical Institute of Cyprus,  a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the City University  London and an MSc in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning from Kings College  London. During his career he gained a wide breadth of experience in the oil industry and specifically  in the fields of Supply & Logistics,  Health, Safety, Security  & Environment, Operations  & Engineering, Sales & Marketing,  Company Governance and Compliance. Mr.  Papanastasiou was  appointed  as  Managing Director  and  General  Manager of VTT Vasiliko  Ltd, a subsidiary  of VTTI B.V.,  on the 1st of October  2011  and leads  a versatile  team  of  professionals with  the  aim  of  constructing and  operating  the  oil storage  terminal  of  the  company  at  Vasilikos  area,  the  biggest  foreign  investment currently in Cyprus.




Ioannis Kaltsas,  Head of Division, Leading Operations in Greece and Cyprus, European Investment Bank

Ioannis Kaltsas is currently Head of Division, responsible for EIB Operations in Greece and Cyprus. He has over 20 years of working experience in various international organisations (EIB, World Bank and a UN Commodity Board), he has worked in three directorates within the Bank and managed four different divisions in various aspects of the Bank’s activities (coordination, mandates, policy & trust funds and Greece& Cyprus). He holds a Ph.D. in Economics (Econometrics) from Virginia Tech (USA), an MSc in Applied Economics also from Virginia Tech (USA), and MA in Industrial Economics from the University of East Anglia (UK) as well as a Master in Engineering degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece).  He has experience from evaluating the financing of more than 80 projects in 50 developing countries as well as managing Technical Assistance programs. He speaks and writes fluently Greek, English, French and Spanish.
