Chairman, Invest Cyprus
Michalis P. Michael is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency since January 2018. He has a long professional career in business and audit services, both as a sole practitioner and as a Partner in KPMG Cyprus. Mr. Michael has a vast experience in the Ukrainian market and he is the Chairman of the Cyprus-Ukraine Business Association from 2012 until today. Michalis has been actively involved with public life since his early career. Formerly, he served as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (1996-2000), Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Organisation of Land Development (2000-2003), Member of the Committee for the Supervision and Development of Cooperative Societies (2003-2013). He was also Member of the Board of Directors of The Cyprus University of Technology (2014-2016), where he currently holds the position of Vice-President (July 2016-today). Michalis is a Chartered Certified Accountant, a Fellow member of the UK Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus, of which he served also as a Member of the Board of Directors.

George Campanellas is a graduate of the Department of International and European Studies of the Athens University of Economics and Business with post-graduate studies in Public Sector Management (Master’s in Public Sector Management) and Business Administration (MBA in Oil & Gas and Energy Management). During the past 16 years he has held various positions within the public service. Since 2013, he was employed at the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism where he was actively involved in drafting the regulatory framework and incentives for attracting Foreign Direct Investment in sectors of strategic importance to the economy. He has been actively involved in the development of the integrated casino resort, being also member of its Project Management Team. Since 2015, he has participated as a speaker in a number of business missions abroad, presenting investment opportunities in different sectors of the Cyprus economy, while also serving as a member of the Board of Directors of Invest Cyprus.
Former Minister of Health, Cyprus
Dr. George Pamboridis is the Former Minister of Health of Cyprus. He studied Law in Athens and continued his studies at the University of Southampton where he acquired a Master’s degree (LL.M.) in Shipping Law. He subsequently acquired a Master’s degree (M.Sc.) from the Department of International Relations of the London School of Economics (LSE) and a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Law from the University of Southampton in Public International and Shipping Law. He is the author of “International Shipping Law: Legislation and Enforcement”, published by Kluwer Law International and the book “Hydrocarbons of the Republic of Cyprus”, published in September 2012, as well as numerous legal articles. Dr. Pamboridis is qualified in Cyprus (Member of the Cyprus Bar Association), Greece (Member of the Athens Bar Association) and England & Wales (Roll of Solicitors). After working at the law office of Tassos Papadopoulos & Co, he worked at the City law firm Holman, Fenwick & Willan in the UK before joining L Papaphilippou & Co law office in Nicosia as a Partner for five years. Since 2003, he started up Pamboridis LLC with offices in Nicosia and Athens. In 2015, Pamboridis was appointed as Minister of Health by President Anastasiades. He held his ministerial position for two and a half years before returning to law. Dr. Pamboridis is a corporate and commercial law lawyer, dealing mostly with matters related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate law and international tax planning, as well as Energy law. His extensive shipping background ranks him as one of the leading lawyers in matters of International Shipping Regulation. He also teaches International Shipping Law and Energy Law at the University of Cyprus.

Micheal Antoniades joined KPMG in the UK in 1990 and became a Partner of KPMG in Cyprus in 1998. He has extensive experience in both internal and external auditing and other attestation exercises in a wide range of industries, with specialisation in Financial Services (mainly insurance), Oil and Gas, Information Technology and retail, as well as the public sector. He has been in charge of the Management Assurance Services and of the Quality Control at KPMG (Quality Performance Liaison Partner). Today he holds the position of the Risk Management Partner as well as the position of the Insurance Industry and Oil and Gas Industry Lines Leader. Between 2001-2003 he has been the Chairman of the Accounting and Auditing Standards Committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus. Further to that he served as a Council member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus for 10 years.

Marios Menelaou is an Associate at L Papaphilippou & Co LLC. He is a barrister specialising in commercial litigation. His experience includes litigation and advice on banking, corporate, regulatory, EU law and human rights law. He was admitted to the Cyprus Bar Association in 2012. He received a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Essex, Master of Laws from the University College of London and a Bar Vocational Course from the College of Law London. Theo Parperis was the Partner in Charge of Compliance Services Competence and Private Wealth Services (PwS) of the firm until 30 June 2015. As of 1st July 2015, Theo has taken over as Head of Tax & Legal Services of PwC in Cyprus. Costas Argyrides is CEO of the Cyprus Development Bank Public Company Ltd which he joined in 2017. He was previously at Bank of Cyprus, where he held the position of Director, Wealth & Markets. Costas Markides is a member of the Board of KPMG Limited. He is a Southern Illinois University graduate holding a Master’s degree in Accountancy with special concentration on International Taxation. He has been the recipient of two full academic scholarships and graduated first in his class at the College of Business Administration with a perfect score. In 2016, he was nominated for induction into the College of Business Hall of Fame, one of the highest honours bestowed to alumni. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Before joining KPMG, he worked as Director of Research at the Center of Financial and Tax Planning in the US. He returned to Cyprus in 1999 and was employed in one of the Big 4 firms and since 2002 he has worked for KPMG and was accepted as a Member of the Board in 2011. He is a specialist in the field of International Taxation, a regular speaker at seminars in Cyprus and abroad and the author of numerous tax-related articles in professional publications in Cyprus and the US. He has been active in advising clients on efficiently structuring their international tax affairs in and through Cyprus. Director General, Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB)
Michael Antoniou is the Director General of the Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB). He holds a degree in Law from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece and a Masters of Law (LLM) from the University of Cardiff, UK. He joined the Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB) in 1991 as an Industrial Relations and Social Policy Officer, and was promoted to Director of the relevant Department in 2000. In 2007 he became Assistant Director General and, in February 2016, was promoted to Director General. He is the author of numerous publications including a four-volume Compendium of Cypriot Labour Legislation, a treatise on the Termination of Employment Law, a Code of Practice to combat sexual harassment at work and a book on labour law and the EU acquis communautaire. Costas Iacovou is the Ag. Permanent Secretary of the Shipping Deputy Ministry to the President since April 2018. He is an economist specialized on project evaluation and investment appraisal with extensive experience on European Union policies in the sectors of research and innovation and regional development policies. During his career, he served numerous posts in the public service in sectors mostly relating to growth policies and the competitiveness of the Cyprus economy. Costas Galatariotis is Executive Chairman of the Galatariotis Group of Companies, Executive Chairman of C.C.C. Tourist Enterprises Public Company Ltd and member of Boards of Directors of several private and public companies. He is a member of the board of directors of the Association of Cyprus Tourist Enterprises (ACTE). Costas is Chairman of the Audit Committee of Vassiliko Cement Works Public Company Limited since 2008. He has served as Honorary Consul General of Japan in Cyprus from 2007 until 2012. Since September 2014 he is the President of the Board of the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He was born in Limassol in 1963. He graduated the 5th Gymnasium of Limassol and he studied Economics, Industry and Commerce at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Polys Hajioannou is the Chief Executive Officer of Safe Bulkers, Inc. and has been Chairman of the board of directors since 2008. Mr. Hajioannou also serves with Safe Bulkers Management Ltd. in Cyprus as well as its predecessor Alassia Steamship Co., Ltd., which he joined in 1987.
